Akbuk
is a fairly new township which was developed in the early
90's.It is situated on a sweeping sheltered bay, surrounded
by mountains and pine forests(most of which is green belt
land). There are height restrictions on buildings here,so
that the character of the town is not spoilt. It is an up and
coming area, with quite a few Brits buying property here. The
harbour offers trips to nearby islands and bays,as well as
pleasure cruises and fishing trips.
Every Friday there is a local market It is a quiet
resort,ideal for chilling out.
It is approximatly 70km from
Bodrum(Milas)airport,65km from Kusadasi and 18km from
Altinkum.Akbuk is 15 mins by car or dolmus(look for Akbuk
Birlik) from Altinkum and definately worth a visit.
The area has resale and new-build villas and represents
excelent value for money at the moment.A three-bedroom villa
with pool starts from £ 45,000 and land with building
permission is also available.
